At Calico Bird, Ella, our highly skilled upholsterer and curtain maker, brings a professional touch to every project. We pride ourselves on offering competitive prices without compromising on quality. Picture framing.
We offer an extensive selection of picture frame mouldings in stock, with a variety of styles and finishes to suit your needs. Should you require something outside of our current range, we can source special mouldings within a week. Additionally, we feature a diverse collection of coloured wood and aluminium mouldings, including recently launched ranges of modern, bold colours, including fluorescent options, to further expand your choices.

Calico Bird is a reputable, well-established business dedicated to restoring your furniture to its former glory. Ella offers made-to-measure upholstery for furniture such as sofas, chairs, and headboards. In addition, she provides a splendid range of fabrics and leather supplies for re-upholstery purposes. If you're someone who enjoys upholstering furniture in unique designs or are working on an interior design project, the Calico Bird collection of fabrics and leather could be perfect for you. Her specialty is creating beautiful, tailored curtains and Roman blinds to suit your space, adding a finishing touch to your home décor.

Glass.
In addition to our traditional 2mm picture glass, we offer a selection of premium glasses designed to provide UV protection, helping to prevent fading over time. We also stock the Artglass™ and True Vue™ ranges, featuring sophisticated, museum-quality, non-reflective glass, offering both clarity and protection for your artwork. For safety or to reduce the weight of large frames, we can easily incorporate Perspex, rather than normal glass, and this also is available with UV protection and a non-reflective coating.

With our cold-press mounting system we can take the creases and wrinkles out of your favourite old posters. For a modern frameless look we can mount your prints or photographs on to Dibond and other supports, laminate, and face-mount on to perspex.
Mount cutting.
Our very extensive range of mountboard colours are all acid-free. For a traditional look for watercolours, we can add washlines, gold and silver lines, and v-grooves.
