'Emotional Contortionism' is a series of self-portraits by artist Cristina Schek that defies conventions, playing a visual trick on the viewer without any manipulation through Photoshop. The artist, in her signature Surreal vein, bends and twists our perception, just as we twist and turn in the dance of our relationships. The series mirrors the intricate navigation of thoughts and emotions, contorting our very being. As we go through the natural ebb and flow of life, the hope remains that we bend, but do not break.
